Your student’s report cards are now available through Progressbook. Attached you will find instructions on how to use Progressbook to view reports cards. If you have questions on accessing your progress book account please fill out the accessing your account assistance form. If you would like a copy of your student’s report card mailed home, please contact their school counselor at 330-676-8720.

Today is the final day to recognize students who have earned recognition for their leadership. We ask that the recipients of the awards come to the Activities Office to get their awards. First, we would like to recognize 4 students who received the honor of PSAT National Merit High Performer. Those students are: Rain Carman, Benjamin Pazderak, Jeremy Schuch, Ezra Turner. Next, we want to present the Dianne Gorby Spirit of Life Award to freshman Lauren Carver for persevering through a difficult year with a positive attitude and determination to rise above trying circumstances. Additionally, Sophomore Olivia Sams has been selected to attend the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar. Finally, a big thank you to junior Rodrigo Aguilar, who served this year as a daily P.A. announcer.

If you have a Locker this year, please do not forget to take all of your belongings before school ends on Thursday. All materials left behind will be discarded. Also, please remember to check the lost and found shelves in the hallway by the cafeteria for lost clothes, shoes, books and with Mrs. Harris in the Main Office for keys, jewelry and phones ASAP!!

Congratulations to our Regional Track & Field Qualifiers who will travel to Austintown Fitch High School this week. Olivia Sams will race in the 300 hurdles on Wednesday and Yakia Lee-Johnson will throw the discus on Friday. Congratulations to the girls Track & Field team who scored 29 points at Districts last week. Scorers included: Claire Fried, Nina Loofboro, Maddie Baron, Navaeh Hersman, Chelsea Britt, Naomi Yohn, Katie Keller, Jurnee Smith, Megan Renkes, Ella Hassler, Gianna Ferrara, Alexis Smith, and Yakia Lee-Johnson. Best finish at Districts in several years!
We would like to recognize two juniors who gave many hours planning the Prom. Nicholai Barak and Lily Marken. Additionally, Nicholai was instrumental in planning a successful Junior Class Silent Auction. Thank you both for your service to your class. We also have 6 Roosevelt students who were honored as the Counseling Dept.’s student of the month throughout the year. The following link provides a description of the 2021 Summer School Program. All courses require payment of a tuition fee, and all work satisfactorily completed and certified receives official school credit. Students from Kent and neighboring communities may register.

PURPOSE: One of the purposes of Summer School is to provide an opportunity for students to repeat or review a subject in which their achievement has been unsatisfactory. Summer School also provides an opportunity for students to do advanced work.
GRADE LEVELS: Nine through twelve.
You may register online. Registration begins on April 6th and ends on May 26th.
If you have a Kent City Schools MyPaymentsPlus account go to www.mypaymentsplus.com to register online. Financial aid is available for those who qualify through Portage County Job and Family Service.

Seniors! If you did not get your cap and gown on Thursday, May 20th you can pick them up in the Guidance Office on Friday, May 21st from 7:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m. from Mrs. Fisher.
Anyone interested in 2021 Cross Country in the fall, there will be a 10-15 minute meeting on Wednesday, May 26th in the cafeteria right after school. That’s Cross Country meeting, next Wednesday in the cafeteria right after school!

All girls interested in playing volleyball in the fall there will be an open gym Tuesday, May 18th from 7:15-8:45 and Wednesday, May 26 from 6:45 to 8:15 in the Roosevelt Gym. See you there!
Seniors, please check your cafeteria balance with Aramark. If you have a sibling in the district any unused balance will automatically be transferred to your sibling’s cafeteria account. If you do not have a sibling in the district any unused balance over $10.00 will be mailed to your address after the school year ends.
The TRHS literary & arts magazine, Perception, invites YOU to join the final Perception meeting of this year, this Friday, May 21, 2021. The group would like to select officers for next year and close out this year with some happy, encouraging sharing of their own writing, art, music.
